What is included and how does it work?
Website Start — up to five pages in one language, one consolidated revision round and a technical SEO/GEO foundation. The offer covers Technical maintenance, without an included hour for content changes.
What does Merqhaven’s introductory offer include?
For new enquiries received from 8 November 2026 through 1 February 2027, Belgian time, Website Start costs €999 one-off plus €39 per month for the first twelve subscription months. From month 13 it is €49 per month. Build plus twelve months costs €1,467 excluding VAT. Hosting and domain remain separate; transfer to hosting is included. The offer applies only to Technical maintenance. The subscription remains cancellable monthly; an enquiry is not an order.
Are hosting and a domain name included?
No. Hosting and domain costs are not included in the build price or monthly subscription, including during the introductory offer. These costs are paid separately. Transfer to hosting is included. Hosting requirements, access and any additional licences are agreed in advance.
Do I need to supply copy, photos and videos?
You can supply copy or have Merqhaven prepare suggestions based on your business information within the agreed scope. You supply usable images and accurate information with appropriate usage rights. The client checks all content and approves it in writing before publication. On-site photography and video recording are not offered.
How does the build work and when does my website go live?
After receiving all required information, usable materials and access, we deliver Website Start for review within two weeks. Missing information or delayed feedback shifts the schedule. You provide feedback in one consolidated revision round. Publication only follows your written approval.
Who checks the content before publication?
The client checks copy, images, business details and claims and approves them in writing before publication. The client is responsible for the accuracy and usage rights of supplied material. Merqhaven remains responsible for careful execution of the agreed work.
What does recovery cost if something goes wrong?
Correction of a demonstrable Merqhaven error in the agreed work is free and does not use the included hour. Recovery following client errors, outside changes or incidents not attributable to Merqhaven falls within the available maintenance time of the chosen package. Extended maintenance can use the remaining monthly hour. Technical maintenance includes no content working hour. Additional work is agreed in advance, only with approval at €65 per hour excluding VAT.
What does a full technical handover cost on cancellation?
The subscription remains cancellable monthly. Termination before twelve completed subscription months incurs a pre-agreed one-off fee of €99 excluding VAT for full technical handover. After twelve completed and paid subscription months handover is free. This fee covers handover work, not general cancellation. Technical dependencies and third-party licences are explained in advance. Transfer of personal data follows privacy and processing agreements; the fee does not restrict statutory privacy rights.
Can I cancel my subscription each month?
Yes. You can cancel monthly from the start, with no minimum term. Cancel by email before the end of the current subscription month. The subscription ends at the end of that month. This also applies to the introductory offer; twelve months of savings do not require an annual commitment.
What happens to changes after cancellation?
After termination Merqhaven no longer performs changes or maintenance. Hosting and domain registration are separate services with their own terms. Ownership, usage rights and any handover are set out in the quotation. This cancellation arrangement does not automatically block or delete your website or data.
Which personal data belong on a simple business website?
Standard contact forms are limited to name, company, email, optional phone number and message. Only necessary technical data are processed for security. Do not send medical data, identity documents or payment card details through standard forms. Customer accounts, payments and wider data processing require separate assessment and agreements on security, access and retention. If Merqhaven processes personal data for the client, this is covered by a data processing agreement.
How do I pay for the website and subscription?
Standard orders are paid in full in advance. Large custom projects use the agreed split of 50% on order, 25% at the agreed presentation and 25% before delivery. Subscriptions are paid in advance, by the first of the month. Final amounts and terms are in your quotation.
